Most fire pits make you choose — fire or food. The Teppanyaki does both at the same time, and does them properly.
A heavy steel fire pit with a built-in flat plate sitting directly over the flames. You load the bowl with wood, get a proper fire going, and cook on the teppanyaki plate while everyone gathers around the heat. Steaks, prawns, eggs, smashed burgers — cooked over real fire, not gas, not charcoal briquettes. This is live-fire cooking the way it should be done.
Built by a craftsman in NSW from heavy-gauge Australian steel, The Teppanyaki is the entertainer's fire pit. It's the piece that turns a backyard into a reason to have people over.
How it works
The flat cooking plate sits over the fire bowl, heated by the wood fire below. You control the heat by managing your fire — more wood, more flame, more heat. It's primal and it's effective. The kind of cooking that makes food taste better because of how it was made.
When you're done cooking, the plate stays on and the fire pit keeps burning all night. Two functions, one piece of steel.
